To Form a Team
- Designate a Team Captain.
- Choose a team name.
- Have each team member register online.
After you have registered, Alternatives will send you the name of the baby whose life you are celebrating.
The Role of a Team Captain
The Team Captain serves an important role that helps ensure the success of the event:
- Serves as the liaison between his/her team and Alternatives Pregnancy Center.
- Ensures that each team member registers online or by calling Alternatives at 303.298.8815.
- Encourages team members to email their Personal Walk Page to everyone they know so their sponsors can give securely online. Ensures that each team member has a Pledge Form either by printing one here or by requesting one at 303.298.8815.
- Encourages the team to meet the fundraising goal they set together.
- Communicates regularly with team members to encourage and support them and to create a sense of team unity.
Special Prize Drawing
Each team member who registers online will be entered in a drawing for a
free dinner for two at a trendy Denver restaurant. The drawing will take place at
the Walk for Alternatives on June 4, 2011.
Team Recognition
For each team that pre-registers 10 members, Alternatives will present a generous
supply of newborn clothes and other necessities to one of our brand new mom in
the team’s name.
Tread Setters’ Dinner Club
Teams raising $2,500+ collectively will automatically qualify for the Tread Setters’
Dinner Club. At a special dinner in August, you’ll be honored for all your hard
work with an evening of fun, fellowship and great food.
Team Awards
The top fundraising team will be recognized with a special award at the Tread
Setters’ Dinner Club.
